US census response down from 2010.

With all the craziness the response to the Census is expectedly down. They are encouraging people to do it online but that doesn’t work well for the older crowd. Interesting to see if they can find a way to get an accurate read this time around.

They need to extend it and send out a reminder in a few weeks.

It just opened up recently, but the response is down from where it was this time in 2010, looks like they already extended deadline to at least mid august.

I would assume that, if response is still down, they'll start sending people door to door in say.. mid june or so. Once all this Covid-19 crap has died down.

I did it online a week or two ago. Took about 4 minutes.

They suspended field operations (census takers) indefinitely. It's was scheduled mid-April through August so it'll be delayed at least a month. Likely start back up in June.
