Updating LinkedIn Profile

So I finally landed an amazing job and I want to update my profile as much as I can. Is it worth adding the courses I took in college (grad and undergrad) to my profile, relevant course work or does that not matter at all? Note I finished my undergrad in 2012 and graduate work in 2016.

Isn't your experience better than your schooling at this point?

I'm thinking about deleting my linkedin because I've never really gotten anything from it, and not having one at all might be better than having one that I haven't bothered to update.

Yeah that was my thought. I never had it before and ended up using LinkedIn to get the opportunity I have now.

Our program was structured a bit different. We were forced to take two graduate courses and I ended up taking three. I don't know if biomechanics and hard tissue really matter but throwing medical devices design might not be too bad.

Same here. It hasn't helped me get any job I've ever held.

LinkedIn is almost as bad as Facebook. I really don’t give a frick about about 90% of the bullshite posted on it.
Congrats on your new job.

not really. no one looks at your coursework. it just shows a class you took, not that you mastered it with your degree. work experience is important. internships are important. you don't want to inundate the reader, if they want to know more, they will ask.

Courses are definitely not required and there are much more important pieces of a well-done LI profile.
There is a ton of crap on LI now, but it still an extremely effective avenue to connect with recruiters. I get contacted every couple of weeks with a legitimate opportunity and it is how I landed my current job.
Your summary, work experience, and academic degrees are the most important sections. You also need to have a current professional picture of yourself and a headline that describes your current position or the industry skill set you offer. Simpler is better. There are a lot of ways to 'optimize' your profile by including certain key words that cause your profile to show up for more recruiters. This can be more or less important depending on your search status.
Even with all of the crap on LI, I am still a huge fan. It is an asset for me and professional connection would be significantly more difficult without it.

Once you get your first job, I don't think specific coursework is relevant at all anymore....

It is. Not sure what led to its demise.

Never had an interviewer ask me about coursework always what I have done.
