Unlikely?
Sorry, I am ignorant towards guns.
I have no problem with my neighbor owning guns. I am a little concerned that they aren't responsible with them.
Also worried that neighbors will be upset after police leave and retaliate.

Wait, you found multiple bullet holes and one of your options was to talk to the neighbor directly?

Yes it certainly has me thinking.
I live in a nice part of Dallas. The apartment complex is gated community and require a background check and whatnot when you apply to live here.

Tell one of the cops to leave you his throw away piece.

We think it might be lodged into the attic.
I'm not an expert by any means, but I've fired plenty of guns at plenty of things.
You're telling me the bullet went through at minimum 2 walls, a closet, and an attic?

At the very least use this as an opportunity to get a few months rent free... they don't want you posting reviews with bullet hole pics

A little?!? You're either in shock, lying, or the most nonchalant dude I could imagine talking about this situation

I'd be more concerned about why they did it in the first place. Drug deal? What kind of drugs? Bookie? Psycho ex wife?
Are the police going to talk to them as well? You know, in case there's a dead or injured body in that apartment.

This single-bullet explanation is the foundation of the OP's claim of a lone squirrel. Once you conclude the magic bullet could not create all 5 of those holes, you'd have to conclude that there was a fourth shot and a second squirrel. That's one magic bullet.

It first came through my roommates bedroom (2-4 feet above his bed) traveled across his room and out through the opposite wall, then into my closet (same wall) and lodged into the attic.
Working on getting pictures for better explanation.

I really wanted to make a JFK magic bullet joke, but you did much better than I would have.

You lost me at squirrel. What the frick are you talking about?
Eta: oh. A jfk joke. Meh.

See op's original theory.
Admittedly, it was a stretch to fit the quote.

The police are on scene.
At first, tried to get a hold of the neighbor (who I have not met). The neighbor didn't answer.
I think they went back and are talking to them now.

Drywall isn't the most rugged building material in the world.

You or the police? I would not be knocking on the doors of someone who shot bullets through my apartment.
