I misunderstood “welfare checks”. He’s referring to checking on the welfare of people affected by the floods. Not the LA purchase card welfare checks.

Maybe it’s just me...but I don’t like the “Cajun Navy”. It’s turned into dudes who have mud boats driving around trying to be hero’s and look the part. The OG Cajun Navy did it without needing recognition
