Update for those praying for Julia Cate Reed

Julia Cate Reed is a 3-year-old child from Sulphur, Louisiana, who is currently battling T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. Her first month of chemotherapy (induction phase) failed to put her leukemia into remission, and she is now being treated with a stronger regimen of chemotherapy (Nelaarabine). It is likely that Julia Cate may need a bone marrow transplant in the future. Her 3 siblings are being tested to see if they are a match, but if they are not, we are hoping there is someone in the bone marrow registry that will match her.
Please continue to pray for the complete healing of Julia Cate Reed and also for the strength of her family at this time.
If you are wondering how you can help, please consider joining the bone marrow registry. Be The Match. Registration is FREE for anyone between the ages of 18-44, and a kit will be mailed to you at home. Donating bone marrow is no longer as painful as it once was. Donors are anesthetized and usually just feel some residual soreness for a few days after donating. You could save someone's life.
As stated on the other thread, the benefit on Saturday was a huge success, and the family felt all the love and support of the community. Please continue to pray for JC and her family, and register to be a donor if you can.
Also, you may not know this, but her family are all huge LSU fans. Her parents had tickets to the Peach Bowl and ended up giving them to a family friend when they had to rush to Houston when JC was diagnosed on Dec. 21. That's why I thought it appropriate to post here. Maybe all of LSU nation can unite in prayer for Julia Cate.

Everyone on here should be signing up for Be The Match. It's incredibly easy.

The kit is just a dna mouth swab.
It takes like 30 seconds to do.
I've been in the registry since 2008.
You never know when you could be the one person in the whole world that could save someone's life.
You might be the one that could save this little bawette.
Sometimes super heroes don't wear capes.

This is an amazing organization
September of 2018 I donated stem cells to a patient with AML.
Anyone can save the life of someone else by giving up a couple days time & a little discomfort, you just have to be registered.

Is there a gofundme or a bank account set up for her?

Was inspired to sign up after reading this but due to having brain surgery from a tumor, I'm ineligible. I will be fervently praying.

God bless you for that! I read in there FAQ's that only 1 in every 400-500 registered donors are ever asked to donate, so thank God you were in their database and were willing to donate to that person battling AML.

There is a bank account set up at B1 Bank. Just tell them it is for Julia Cate Reed in Sulphur, LA.
To my knowledge, there is not a gofundme.

100% True!
I did a few years back.
So easy. Cheek swab.
Zero excuse not to if medically able.
