If only we had some kind of fraternal organization or secret society dedicated to enforcing vigilante justice against this kind of criminal...

I always understood that a sex crime was flat time. No credit for good time, no parole. Apparently I was wrong.

While your statement is true, it doesn't apply to this guy. He's not mentally ill. He cannot be fixed. He's a sociopath and belongs in prison.

You’re not wrong. The Louisiana law changed in the last year or 2. He got forcible rape instead of aggravated rape . It was a plea bargain and because of the law change he served 50 percent of his time and first time offender at the time. I went to school with his brother and his family isn’t bad. His brother , Mike , once saved someone drowning in a car when he went it went into a river . Mike had burns on his body from his disturbed brother. This has shattered this entire community. My relative , District Attorney at the time, did everything they could to lock him up as long as they could . We need know who voted to change the laws to let these pieces of shite out early ?I have researched all I can trying to find the why he was not on sex offender list or app? Why wasn’t the community notified they had a dangerous sex offender in the area ? As a sex offender , you have 3 days to report to the parish after release . He had stopped at several houses that day including one woman working in her garden . He asked her if she needed help with anything because he saw her house was being remodeled. He was looking for the perfect victim. Why wasn’t he on lockdown at St. Tammany Parish knowing he was a stone cold psychopath cable of anything ? So many questions not answered yet . I know people on here are going to go off on how corrupt St. Tammany is , however , this parish was called St. Slammany for a reason .

Any word on who David Burns is? Was he another inmate, a worker at the jail?

Just want to make sure we all see who the culprit is. It’s important so that we all can determine if there is a trend or pattern.

Yeah

The liberal approach is to try and fix these people because they’re “mentally ill” or “emotionally unstable”. they try to blame society or the upbringing as though we’re to blame for the crime.
Bleeding hearts.

Sorry (not sorry) but this guy murdered and burned two people in cold blood. he needs to be taken out of circulation. It’s 2 counts of murder 1 and that warrants death in our system. Unfortunately, the death penalty is not much of a deterrent as it takes too long and sometimes never happens.

Murderous Criminals aren’t too concerned with the prospect of being put to death years from now. They need to know that the punishment is painful and swift.

I’d prefer some form of physical punishment that brings about severe physical pain employed quickly after trial, executed on a daily basis while they wait for their ultimate execution. Criminals need to know that they’ll live to regret their actions with serious pain brought about continuously while imprisoned.

frankly, society doesn’t have time To delve into these people’s psyche.
