These days your aunt doesn't even have to have balls to be your uncle

Body was found about 1,000 feet from the van.

Maybe she killed herself
Definitely possible. And the weirdo nut job really did love her more than life, found her body, and lost his mind. Drove home and wracked with guilt he wandered off into the swamp, killed himself, and the body was eaten by an alligator.
And the alligator then ate the cadaver dog that alerted on it. And then there was no trace.
Or they fought, she stormed off and killed herself where they found her without him knowing she had killer herself, and then he spent a few days looking for her but just didn’t find her. And that was why he got picked up hitchhiking, he was out looking for her. And not knowing what to do and how bad it looked for him he in a panic went home and lawyered up. And them wandered out in the swamp and killed himself, was eaten by an alligator that then ate a bloodhound:
I do not think suicide or OD are out of the realm of possibility. Most likely they had a fight, he snapped and hit her in the head with a rock, and that was that.

Like it takes balls to call yourself an uncle when you're an aunt these days.

you can’t not consider it.
if she got charged, then i would be more inclined to see this as a possibility.

So, Brian is probably dead too, right? He went and offed himself somewhere?

He had been on the road for months and just had a domestic dispute that involved the police with the girl he was living in a van with. Why wouldn't he want to spend a few extra days at home where he's comfortable and away from her to give some time for things to hopefully cool down a bit? Doesn't seem weird at all.”
The weirdest part is him flying round trip across the country to do that. Dad didn't have any friends that would be willing to help? No Mexicans at the Home Depots? Paying another 50-100 bucks for a couple of months vs interrupting a trip and paying for a round trip ticket to get it done? It doesn't make sense to me.
Has anyone confirmed he actually went back and did this with his dad? I read her family saying this, but i was just wondering if it has been confirmed with flight records or people seeing them taking the stuff out of storage and so on.
Also did she even leave the hotel room while he was gone? It seems like any sightings of her in SLC during hotel stay were once he got back and after checking out of it.

I don’t watch the news and haven’t been following closely. But I see it’s getting a lot of traction, and especially here. What’s the impetus behind the story?

I read her dad order ubereats or pizza for her at the hotel?

Yeah. It was during a power outage on the 23rd or 24th, I think.
Here's a really good video of the timeline and witnesses along the way.

For some reason, knowing that he probably wanted to move it much further away but was too weak to get the job done and that he's, hopefully, dead in a swamp right now puts a smile on my face.

Watching that YouTube video now is strange knowing she is gone.
Her dream was to build a van life channel, only one video uploaded and it had reached less than 500 views by 9/11, which means probably half that by the time she died 8/26-8/30.
The video was uploaded 8/19, I wonder if that slow start weighed on her at all.
Since she was announced missing the video has had 2.7 million views which would make it one of the most viewed van life videos in YouTube history. In her death she achieved her dream.
What a sad story.

I really don't think the van life YouTube life is as serious as some of you think it was.

Carrying 100lbs over a rocky creek bed for 1,000 feet would be rough. Could of also just happened there or possibly he chased her there ?

Then you would be wrong. It's been very popular on youtube for at least the last 5 years or so.
I don't even have Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter but I see people referencing van life being a popular subject on Facebook and Instagram all the time. Not sure about Twitter.
All it takes is a quick search to see how many people are vlogging about this shite.

That's what I was trying to say. He probably planned on doing a much better job of trying to hide what he had done. But he got about 1,000 ft into the job and realized that he's fricked.

Was agreeing with you and throwing out a couple of other possibilities.

I’m not challenging the popularity of the van life lifestyle. I’m challenging the idea that she was so wrapped up in becoming van life famous that it consumed her thoughts.

My bad. I agree with you there. They were out on the road for quite awhile and he never even posted a video until something like August 17th. That's a lot of time out on the road for one short video.
And the video itself was as run of the mill, as far as van life videos go, as it gets. Definitely nothing that would say that they were all wrapped up in it or taking it all that seriously...except for her telling the police officer that she quit her job to do it.
