Hoping we can get the morning rain to hang around for as long as possible over the northern half of AL and MS tomorrow.

Yep, we will know really quick how bad it will get if we see sunshine and those temps go up.

It's a city, probably a glitch when they put the city in the database.

We are pretty much done in north DFW until 1:00 am, right.

The 23z HRRR actually does provide a little hope that the rain/clouds might hang around. At 11am CDT tomorrow it still has lots of showers across the northern half of AL.

You've still got some storms floating around. Not much spinning right now, though.

It was weird that the sun was out here until a minute before the weather hit. Almost no advance cloud coverage. We usually get to see wall clouds in the distance and overcast before that heavy rain hits.

Looks messy. I'm hoping if cells do go up that there are enough of them to rob themselves of energy. I'm also thinking it could be a chance for the afternoon round to line out before everything gets fully primed. A couple models kind of hint at that, but not fully.

I'm going to drop this in here because my thread I made earlier sank like a rock. Worth the watch.

The 00z HRRR just ran and it seems to have a messy storm mode, as well. I don’t have any expertise, though, so maybe I’m missing something in it.

One thing is for sure, not many on Twitter are looking for any sort of failure mode. It is balls out doomsday for most.
