Unleaded Gas from Baton Rouge to New Orleans causing engine problems?

Anyone truth to this?
Being reported that customers who have purchased gas from Race Trac and Murphys have experienced check engine light issues and true engine problems.

Highly doubtful that gas from just two chains causes the problems. Gas isn't brand specific per se.
However, if two specific stores got a delivery from the same truck there could be a correlation.

Some bad gas was reportedly delivered I heard. Not sure how many stations were affected. My sister had to cancel her vacation this weekend because of an investigation.

Local dealerships in AP, EBR and Livingston are reporting high volumes in their shop with similar issues.

Sounds like 1 of the OT plant operators fricked something up.

Dont have a link...just hearsay at the moment.
Once again, TD will beat the local news.

The gas isn't brand specific, it's the additives that go into it that is.
Fuel companies at terminals actually pool their gasoline, and the additives are put in when they put it into the motor fuel transport's partitions.

This is very much true. Hearing race track and Murphy too

This is where I would look for the contamination. Quality is super controlled up to this point. Not that QC isn't serious in the transport phase, but if it was in the tank farm I would think the problem would be everywhere.

there is truth to this, dropped my vehicle off at the dealership yesterday. VSC and check engine light had both come on and it was vibrating pretty violently.
They called back this morning and said they have no idea how to fix the issue and are awaiting word. they were instructed not to start the truck again.
fwiw, i filled up friday at the exxon on perkins/siegen and the problems started saturday.
eta: they also said they've had calls from approximately three dozen other people experiencing the same thing

They said it was fuel related?

Has anyone contacted you or did you contact the Exxon station?

I've been having same issues with my car. I told my wife it seemed like bad gas issue. It sucks that this happened especially right after I just got the car worked on less than a month ago.

dealership called me this morning to explain what they knew, which was pretty much nothing.
yesterday when i told them that i'm 100% certain that that exxon is where i got the gas, they told me there had been a couple others pointing to that location as where they had filled up as well.
no I did not contact that exxon.

Sounds like my vehicle, except no check engine light. Only happened in the morning, no problems starting after that. Husband was about to try and change out the fuel pump or take it somewhere and see of they could figure it out, but a friend told him the same thing was happening to his newish truck and the dealership told him it might be bad gas. (He always fills up at Exxon FWIW.)
So we put in a can of fuel treatment, then put in about 5 gallons of premium from Shell, and so far I haven't had any issues. Crossing my fingers bad gas is all it was.

I would contact the station, they probably may refer you to a consumer help line. At least get it documented in case there are long term effects.
