That should give people something to talk about.

Well apparently Raitt's past musical history is a little mystery for that writer to figure out...

That’s a dumbass article.

i listed off everybody on the list in the article to my 13 and 16 year olds and they knew everybody but Raitt, Jack Anotoff and Kim Petras. they had to think about willie nelson, but they've heard enough of him from riding around with me to know. i told them Jack Anotoff was in the Bleachers and one of them knew who that was.

they laughed when i listed bad bunny and lizzo as being nominated.

I first saw her at Jazz Fest in the mid 80's; walking from one concert to another. She was damn good and there were maybe 50 of us watching because her career hadn't really gone far yet. I skipped the concert I was headed to and watched her from very close for more than an hour. And went out and bought the only album I could find.

Skip to a few years later. 1988, Little Feat had their first reunion show after Lowell George died. It was on the River Boat President for Jazz Fest. It was the most remarkable concert I've ever seen. Bonnie Raitt was a pretty big name by then and played Lowell George's guitar parts including the slide; and was a part of the band for the whole show. Jimmy Buffet played on a number of songs. Ed Bradley from 60 minutes was in the band at times too. The energy was off the charts beyond any show I've ever seen.

"I miss Little Feat like I miss being 5 years old." - Bonnie Raitt.

She's like Emmylou Harris in that she's worked with so many legendary performers, and both are legendary themselves to anyone who has been paying attention to music for a while.

How did you write a comment about it without reading the article first?

Maybe more a music board thing, but this is just an incredible recording of Bonny Raitt and Lowell George and others doing Can't Find My Way Home (Steve Winwood) in 1972 (heh - 50+ years ago) for Ultrasonic Studios. Can skip to 2:30 or so if you want just the music, but I enjoy the tuning too.

Sure, she did Blues. But she covered a LOT of ground.

the Daily Mail has seemingly never heard of this unknown 73 year old

That's pathetic.
