I never took a break, sans a few days I was on vacation. I hope you don't think you drive me off.
You can go ahead and link that help thread here too if you like.

There will most likely be several snipe bids in the last 30 seconds or so-probably from several bidders who haven't even bid yet. It could well reach or go over $3,000,000

$3.2 million
Is every bidder pre-qualified?

The auction just crashed from the traffic but it closed out at a little over $3.2 Million last I saw.

Yep
The guy that won only bid twice on the whole auction and both times were in the last few minutes.

Guys are bidding on this as an investment also. Not just because its neat.

At 3.2M. I want to see the margin on that in say 5 years.

similar one sold for a little over a million in 2005 or 06. so youd probably have to give it 10 years to make something off it.
eta: although i found one that sold in 2011 for 2.16 mill.

Ebay takes 10%? That's put it back under $3 mil...and are they paying with paypal?

There was a special deal worked out with eBay for this auction. I doubt they took 10% on it and payment will obviously be with bank transfers like any other transaction that large.

I don't see the value. It's just a comic book that's sitting in a case. Not like an original work.

Well, there are only two in that good of condition that still exist.

They don't take 10% on that high of a bid. You do have to pay with PayPal though-which EBay owns.
