while i agree with you. I don’t think my wife should have to stay strapped to take my kids to the public park that our tax dollars pay for

you and me both know it’s judges that allow these multiple violent offends back on the street.
I agree but that is nationwide.
Which is why I have firearms.

Holy shite, I just watched video of when the attack actually occurs (stabbing is blurred out), and that poor girl is sitting there in absolute disbelief of what just happened while blood pours from her wounds.
frick, I wish I wouldn't have seen that.

congrats on owning firearms. I own a dozen too. But, I shouldn’t have to carry them on me and face jail time to protect my family in a public space.

You think wrong.
The State isnt keeping your kids safe, and never will. Thats 100% on yall. My wife carries pepper spray.
In America with our constitutional protections, our safety is 100% on us. The police show up and write reports afterwards.

We arent guaranteed security in this world. Thats on us.

we pay for said public transportation.
we pay for said public parks.
we shouldn’t also have to be armed to enjoy those things. you’re making the argument binary, it’s you being stubborn.
you’re normalizing the failure

Cool, you stopped reading at the 2nd amendment. There are others.

And?
Nowhere is a guarantee of safety. Correct?
If you dont want to see shithead dysfunction, dont use public transportation or venture into urban jungles.. Hell, I learned that 40 years ago.

I guarantee there are thousands of judges who would happily throw someone in jail for shooting that guy

So the solution is just “don’t go outside”?
Don’t have any young children do you?
That’s not wisdom from an old timer—that’s surrender. Telling taxpayers to avoid the very spaces they fund because we can’t expect basic safety is admitting society has failed. Most of us would rather improve public safety than retreat from it.

So does mine. And my guns all went down in that boating accident. But I still expect fricking police and a functioning judicial system.
Just go back to gnawing on your rawhide.

Who says you have to be? Just take your chances like many do.

Probably.
But living in Alaska, my 12 peers in the jury box would look the other way.
When cities get dysfunctional, people should leave. This is how we separate from the riff raff.
If you choose to live among the riff raff, arm yourself, because the police nave no duty to protect you.

like the innocent Ukrainian war refugee on her way back home from her shift at the local pizza joint?
or the Auburn professor going for a jog in the middle of the day with her dog at the largest park in town?
or the Lyft driver who was simply doing her job and stabbed to death by someone she was giving a ride to?
