I agree. They show US stories that none of the other networks will touch...and for Middle East stories they are way better than any of our networks.

I had an unbased bias towards them but that all changed after I watched them virtually non-stop during the Egyptian uprising. It completely changed my opinion about them. They were virtually the only news outlet that was providing up to the minute coverage without any bias/spin of any sorts regarding the information they were receiving. They were only reporting what they were getting from the ground.

During the Libya uprising they had people embedded at the front of the rag tag car convoy armies that swept back and forth across the front lines...truly the only network that was worth watching. It reminded me how CNN had the reporting monopoly during the first Gulf War.

If this happens, would the protestors just go home?

The reporter suggested that this looked like an attempt to co-opt the opposition.

No, one of the main reason for all this protest is the president, until he leaves I don't think they will be happy.

And shouldn't those positions be voted on by the people not just appointed?

Gotcha. I haven't gone to the main page in a hot minute so I'm wasn't sure if it had or had not been posted. Would have been surprised if it hadn't been

If these positions were offered, would the opposition leaders accept them? Seems like accepting them would be career suicide if the people will accept nothing but the resignation of the pres.

Yeah, go to this google maps link. LINK

The barricade is to the left of the square building in the middle. This is up the street from where the tire fires are.

ETA: Stream just switched back to the standoff with the police.

ETA...shite, it went back to the studio. to sum it up...it showed protesters storming into a building, beating on the militia, tear gassing some militia and grabbing shields away from them...then some smashing of furniture.
