I don't mind shite talking your opponent. That comes with the territory in any fighting sport. It's the shite that McGregor spews about how fighting him is the highlight of all other fighter's careers and I make all this money blah blah blah. It's very WWE like.
It's funny though because of how much Dana White says they are not like the WWE. The only difference in UFC and WWE is that the fighting is actually real. The side show bullshite is all the same.

He's not the only douche. McGregor just epitomizes everything that is douchy about it in one guy.
I'm not up to date on everyone's names anymore, but I catch highlights and I've seen similar things from other guys. I also believe McGregor is just the tipping point in the antics. UFC and Dana are going to see how much viewership they get because of him and there will be a whole lot more copycats in the future, making it even more WWE like and even more unbearable.

Well I did used to be a pretty big fan of it and now I'm just a casual observer...so when there is a thread about the current most popular UFC fighter doing exactly what started making me not be as big a fan as I once was, then I think this is a pretty good thread for me.
ETA: By unbearable I meant the side show bullshite. I still like the fighting itself, it's just the antics of the side show that make me roll my eyes.

UFC just had it's biggest gate ever 2 months ago and are running a sold out 70,000 seat stadium in November. Sold out Dublin for October in 5 minutes.
