So the past 2 days I’ve ordered from uber eats a total of 4 times...I went to go look at my bank, and they refunded me every time, only charging for my tip. Sooo, do you think they catch on and take the money all at once? Am I just getting lucky? Anyone else had this happen? Should I let them know? I looked online and didn’t really see anything about it happening anywhere else.

Also, it’s charging initially but then they put the money back in my account. So it shows it leaving but then a refund after.

Postmates is total shite. They charge a "service fee" that is around 15% of the total price. I assumed that that was the tip. Then after you get your food they ask if you want to add a tip.

They charge:

-"tip"
-"service fee"
- "postmates fee"
- "delivery charge"
-"tax"

The best part is, none of these services actually make money. At some point, investors are going to want actual returns, and it will be a hell of a reckoning.

Give it a few days. I doubt you get it for free unless there is some charity paying on your behalf.

What are they doing with the 20% they charge the restaurant?

What I’m thinking too. Two have cleared completely though and no longer pending but only charged the tip... bottom one on here. The others are still pending.

We are experiencing technical difficulties with our payment processing system. Our technicians are working to resolve the issue by 3 p.m., Saturday, April 18th.

The credits that you are seeing at this time will be reversed shortly. All payments made to vendors will be accounted for correctly.

Thank you for your patience and for notifying us.

Sincerely,

I mean I’m thinking about letting them know. I’m not trying to get shite for free and I don’t want it to not go to the restaurants I’m trying to help right now.

That's all of them.

It's so then they can advertise "free delivery" or "$0 service fee all week!" but then once you order you realize that's only a small discount of the total delivery either way

I hate postmates. Twice I've had the driver deliver other people's food before mine and mine has arrived cold. I'm not even choosing the free delivery option.

It’s $100 of delivery fee credits though right? Not just straight up $100 to spend on food.

I thought I was getting free Panda Express for like two weeks a few months ago but my day of reckoning came and I was eventually charged.
