Yep. They would have no problem replacing union workers with good salaries and benefits and none of the headaches associated with unions. Look at non union auto manufacturers.

So, it can go both ways. Either folks are too good to work blue collar jobs and there are plenty of blue collar folks to go around or there are not enough blue collar folks around and those who are around are making 6 figure salaries by the time they are 17 years old.

The truth is that all manufacturers regardless of wages and benefits are in a tight labor market. It is damned hard to find employees of any kind, good or bad. And when they replaced them they would still be subject to labor laws that favor management and the scabs are likely to form another union. Either there are plenty of high paying blue collar jobs to be had or there is not problem finding blue collar workers....it can't be both.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Stellantis go under. They seem to hate their customers.

I hope these union workers enjoy their fat pay raise they got until the companies go bankrupt because nobody can afford to buy their shitty product. My wife's gmc is less than five years old and we just had to have the transmission replaced. frick these assholes.

No one was going to pay those kind of prices for a Jeep.

I mean… how stupid do you have to be to think a 115,000 dollar Jeep is going to be competitive??

And the same company discontinued the cars that were actually selling like the charger and challenger. The charger was unrivaled in sales and as of 2022 records… the challenger was outselling the Camaro and Mustang.

Because there is no one looking for a job in an auto manufacturing plant where management has just cut wages or has labor issues.

People would stream across our border for those jobs

No. They still are not dropping the prices. They have to sell to pay the loans back. Which is crazy. Sky high prices and overloaded inventory across the states and Canada and they won’t cut prices.

They hate their dealers too. I work at a CDJR store at you are spot on. Personally I believe the company is for sale. They have done a lot of things in the last 18-24 months to clean up the balance sheet.

This the trouble with near full employment, you have a hard time finding scabs.

I don’t believe that you actually believe that

The problem the UAW has is they have absolutely no concept of economics, trade, competition, or the economy in general.

They really seem to think car companies exist solely to provide them with jobs and benefits.

Has anyone bought a 18-24 wrangler lately.

We do have a 22 Jeep, but haven’t seen any corrosion issues (yet). It has been in the shop a lot though.
