U-Verse v. Cox v. ???

I switched from Cox to U-Verse a few years ago because Cox kept getting more expensive and I HATED dealing with the idiots in the New Orleans call centers. I pretty much told Cox how much I hated them. As a result, they sent some third party marketing firm to my house disguised as a line technician to try to like fricking debrief me as to why I left. The guy had on a brand new yellow reflective jacket and was like 18; looked like he had never climbed a power pole in his life. I asked him for some Cox ID and gave me a badge from some like "alpha" marketing company. At this point the guy got all weird and was like, "well just tell me what Cox did wrong and why did you leave." This was right when u-verse entered the BR market. I told him to go pound sand and called Cox and freaked on them. The whole thing was weird.
Anyway, so I switched to U-Verse. It was OK for a while. Then I started having connectivity issues. The internet was down frequently. They would come out, "fix" it, then it would shite out again a month later. In total, I have probably had a technician out to the house over 20 times in a 4 year period. I have the fastest speed service and it is always lagging, sluggish, or just doesn't work. To top it off, i pay like $225 a month for this shite. I can't take it anymore.
So, what do I do? Suck it up and go back to Cox? I hate to do so, but u-verse has been so shitty I can't fricking take it anymore.

Don't worry. When net neutrality ends there won't be anything worth a shite online anyway.

Go to a streaming service like Sling, Hulu or PS Vue. For your local channels, get an HD antenna (available locally). I'm on PS Vue for $30/month. I haven't looked back.

believe me, they don't "know" you or hold a grudge at all...figure out which one has the best service for your $ and sign up. for that kind of money, you'd better be getting one hell of a package, IMO...

I was with U-verse for 2 + years until recently. There was an outage due to the road construction on Jones Creek. After 10 days, they were nowhere near fixing it and had no updates. I had to corner an ATT tech just to find out what was going on.
I eventually had to switch back to Cox because ATT had no clue what was going on and I can't live without my TV and internet. It sucks, but what's a ninja to do?

I'm going to have to look into dumping Cox.

I have a stepdaughter who was tired of Cox, switched to U-Verse and wasn't satisfied, now has Dish Network and isn't happy about that. I get to see through her experiences that Cox has the best service. When I moved to my new home, there wasn't Cox service yet but there was U-Verse. I waited 4 months for Cox. They treated me well on the first 2 year package. I know that it's going up 30 bucks next month. Don't know what will happen after next year but they do have a loyalty number you can call and give them a piece of your mind. Hopefully they will lower your bill. I never understand why companies offer new clients better deals than the people who've supported them for years and years.

Yeah, I'm getting totally hosed. For the amount of money i"m spending I should be getting the best service money can buy. I need to rethink things.
