Ever been to Pendleton? It's a huge base, bigger than Rhode Island. And the vast majority of it is hills and scrub.

Camp Pendleton is HUGE. Probably takes an hour to go end to end, and that’s just north/south not east/west

No, I have never been to CP, only GITMO. I understand CP is huge compared to GITMO, but I am concerned about the lack of security that allowed someone to simply crash through the gates. Given today's surveillance and security technology, it also seemed to take an unusually long time to catch these fools. It raises the question of what could have happened if someone with malicious intent had been seeking to cause harm or create chaos.
