I think we can expand that a little: unless the conditions are extreme (like very heavy rain or numerous pedestrians), if people can't pass you--like on most city streets--and you're going 10+ mph under the speed limit, when somebody comes up behind you, either you pull over and let them pass, or you're the ahole.

So, so many people go like 22 mph on two-lane divided city streets where the limit it 35 mph. It wasn't like that twenty or thirty years ago. Maybe today half of them are texting, a quarter shouldn't have a driver's license regardless, and a quarter are stoned?

When I was in high school, I was late for work. I had two travel on a two lane road where the speed limit varies from 45-55 in different sections. Peaking out over the center line and back about 7-8 cars and we are only going 35-40 mph. It's about a 10 mile stretch and then in expands into 4 lanes. Blood pressure boiling and road rage building I finally get to the front and pass the slow poke. It was my grandmother.

I have more trouble with people doing 70 on the 55 two lane road, passing me while im doing 60ish, and nearly causing a head on collision just so they can roll up to the stop sign 5 miles ahead of us about 10 secs earlier.

You sound like all the transplants driving on 4H Club Rd who seem totally unaware that for decades folks have done 75+ on this road.

I also have this funny feeling you'll be one of the first to whine about someone doing 72mph in the passing lane on an interstate.

Totally this! Why in the hell would anyone drive 37 mph on 308 or 1 is beyond me. And it happens all the time- with a line of 9 cars until some bail off in St. Charles.
