I have 6 - should I have more?
My 5 year old was upset when I didn’t take her to see Pres. Trump - I’m not telling her anything until everything is final
My oldest stayed up until 2 watching the election results - she’s pissed about the discrepancies
We homeschool so I don’t have to deal with sending junior over to Braxtynn’s house with two dads and non-binary siblings
My kids are always embarrassed about how I speak about them to other people - so I told them that I like people to know who is going to save the world

If this has happened to you in the USA you were not the most qualified. Being qualified don't mean you are the most qualified....most likely not because you tote around ideas like you're being passed up for opportunities because of "them" instead of shortcomings of your own.
