So you will go out roughly 100 nights a semester at around $50 a night. You will need at least 10 large to really party your entire senior year and that's on the conservative end.
You can spend less than $50 a night if you want...
8-10 drink specials are clutch. Sprint during specials and then coast. I couldn't get a $50 tab at bogies even if I tried unless I bought rounds of shots.

Buying shots is so Beta....

If he just stayed at Bogies/Fred's/JL's and didn't buy any rounds he could keep it under $50 but that's a good overall average number factoring in the downtown nights, random weekday nights, band covers, etc..

yeah $50 a night either means you're getting blackout eevry time or you're buying a bunch of shots. generally if i'm trying to save money when going out i drink 2-3 rum or whiskey drinks before hand and when i get to the bar 2-3 beers or one strong mixed drink. that way at max you're spending $15 or less.

It also wouldn't be near 100 times per semester he would be going out
That's like going out every night.

one weekend you might spend $50, the next you might spend $200. Gotta factor gambling nights too. Unless you work at a bar, and you party pretty hard, you will spend at least 4-5 grand a semester trying to pull hoes. jmho

Yeah, man. I don't plan on blowing that kind of dough. Hitting up lots of free drinks nights, for sure.

we used to power hour a 6 pack of 16 oz nattys before hitting the bars.
they cost $4.12 in 2002.

anything less than 10 grand to blow and your senior year is going to suck.

1.) How much do you think the average college student spends on food per week?

dont worry about a budget. make it rain everywhere you go for your senior year. plenty of time to worry about money in the future

You might not want to go "Two Stacks" one night like one of my buddies did during the deepwater conference last year. From just doing this, I believe you can handle this coming semester with about 3-4 grand without an issue with about 2 of that going to fun (if you feel like making it happen)

I got by on $300 a month for the last 4 years at LSU.
I didn't pay for gas, car insurance, or rent though. Just food and whatever.
