True Life: I'm a beta

So, last night, I went to dinner with an old acquaintance I ran into last week. Well, after dinner we go to a couple bars and end up at this piano bar. While there, we run into her friend, and we start a conversation, and end up in a triangle at the bar. While I'm in the bathroom the sax player starts chatting up the girl, so I'm like okay, I get back, she rejoins the triangle. Then, he just stands there, not really in our conversation but just hanging out and being awkward and creepy. So I'm trying to ignore it. Well, we go to the parking lot and we are talking to her friends, and this dude comes up and styles all over and asks for her number. Went alpha over me. I felt so beta, I dont know if I'll ever recover.
