I doubt it was next to the ghetto when these homes were built. Just like Monterey between FLA and Choctaw and braodmoor.. Twenty five years ago these were nice areas... NOT anymore........

It's not the same as Broadmoor.
Older established neighborhoods in cities all over the country are like this. The truth is these fancy neighborhoods were first. Then, in the 30s-50s they hired a lot of blacks to run the households/landscape/trash pickup/etc. But the rub was that they were poor and encouraged to live close to the areas they served as most had no car or much money for public transportation. This is 100% fact. See it in older areas like uptown Nola which goes back 100 years more to 1800s. In fact the Baton Rouge Garden District along with Unskilled LSU jobs were the reason for the support and development of the Bottom in BR. More ya know

There are two very large labs in that house. I've been told both were going batshit.

Shepherd type dogs, or Dobermans.

Burglars hate larger herding dogs, and the dogs return the favor.

I have to use Lexan in my doors because my Aussie Shepherd will break glass (she destroyed my stained glass) as she pounds against the door trying to destroy whoever is at the door.

My neighbor's kid is 17 and is scared to death of my Aussie.

If whitey would share more of his resources with these fine upstanding young men who are literally starving for a better opportunity then we wouldn't have these kinds of problems.
