For a good comparison, Harry's Dive Shop in N.O. is heading to Isla Guadalupe next month to do a liveaboard White Shark trip. Cost is $3200 pp/do. Can imagine airfare to Australia plus dive charter to go beyond that easily. Was thinking hard about going but timing is no good for me.

Ive done it a few times in Australia. Its been a long time but I'm trying to get info for 777tiger. The person I used to dive with is 92 and has been a little slow in replying to my emails.
The three best places to dive for whites are, Cali, Africa and Australia. Africa has the most, but Australia has the clearest water (great for video and pics).
As far things to do other than diving, I'm not really sure. Most white shark dives are out of Port Lincoln (fishing village). But, You'd most likely fly into Sydney and there are tons of things to do there. If you decide to go to Australia, Id hit Cairns, Sydney and Port Lincoln for the dive. Bring a drysuit, cause the water temp is in the 50's.
Some pics from my dives with white sharks.

In need of a hug?
After swimming with Nile Crocodiles probably yes.

They just floated by the cage and didn't seem interested at all. Then they reel the cage all the way back onto the boat while you're in it.
The do just circle the cage, but the ones I've encountered, have chewed on and entered the cage, too. The secret is to feed them small 20 pound fish from the cage. Thats when they get excited. I was banned from one dive for doing this. The dive master said I could have lost my hand or arm. But, I have the video of it, so thats all that matters.

I did it in South Africa. It was awesome. I think it cost a few hundred bucks and was totally worth it. I posted pics of it on here before somewhere a while back
nowadays it's cool because they hook you up to snuba gear so you can stay under for the entire duration of your time in the cage. When my sister did it they had to hold their breath and go under when the guides screamed "shark!"

I really want to do this also. I was just talking about it yesterday. If you go let me know what you find out!

This is the OT. We don't cage dive. We ride the great whites like bucking broncos.

Incorrect - real OT badasses don't need the cage.

Oh that's just my warm up before I go crocodile wrestling with the aboriginese. Then we slay the poon. The next day is elephant riding and lion hunting
