Oprah is an awesome woman - the way she made it to the top is amazing. When she sang that parody to have fun, many people thought the song fit her life also. Oprah made a difference for many people and to find out that Mary played a role in it is simply cool thing to see.

Dude, America adores Oprah, she's level-headed, fun and earned her gazillions by letting us watch her for decades...no one hates Oprah, just because we disagree on a few political issues doesn't mean shite...so in the immortal words of Sgt Hulka...

Lighten up Francis

Thanks for putting up the pics. For 4 years the Dick Van Dyke show had it all, the humor and funny spirit of Dick Van Dyke and the beauty and class of Mary Tyler Moore. She was every young guy's dream back then.

She was beautiful back in the day. The theme of her sitcom, that of a young woman who was jilted by her boyfriend and moved to the big city to make a new life for herself, was considered groundbreaking at the time.

She was also seriously underrated as an actress. She took a risk and played against type as the cold and emotionless mother in "Ordinary People" and received an Oscar nomination for it. She should've won. It was her best work ever.

Legend.

Remember watching Dick Van Dyke and The Mary Tyler Moore show as a young pup with my mom. She was so great. RIP.
