Have a pinched nerve in my leg from my hip down. It's fine when I'm lying down but when I stand on it, it starts hurting. I'm icing and heating but it isn't doing very much. Also doing some stretches.

Anyone have any other advice?

Get a Teeter Hang up inversion table. It will stretch your back and relieve the pressure and pain on the nerve. Use it 5-10 minutes per day.

Don't heat a nerve that's inflamed. At most take hot shower for a little moist heat to loosen up some. Then stretch hamstrings and piriformis then ice.

Muscle relaxers and/or anti-inflammatories.
Do not hang upside down from an inversion table unless a physical therapist recommends/supervises it.

Steroid pack and some muscle relaxers, get your doc to send you to a p.t. for some stretching.

But they should heed your advice to take muscle relaxers on the OT. Okay...........

Go to ER at new General if really bad. They can give you shots of Norco, Flexeril. The pain will last about (1) week if you rest and not stand up too much.

Better advice than strapping yourself to an inversion table when it currently hurts to stand, idiot.

Muscle relaxers aren't exactly hard drugs.
