Traffic I-10 Slidell - issue for tomorrow? (Wed)

I've heard about the nightmare traffic in and around Slidell on I-10. Is this going to be an issue tomorrow? Or is that something only being done on the weekends? We are headed to Navarre tomorrow after work and I want to plan ahead if we need to take an alternate route before Slidell.

Just stay on the I-210 loop around Baton Rouge all the way to Kiln and you'll be fine.

Construction is suspended on weekdays on the I-10 section just before the Mississippi state line however they are working on the I-12 widening project near the mall exit in Slidell and that can cause some backup.
Your best bet is to check google maps traffic feature to see if there are any backups before you get closer.
Now, when are you coming back from Florida? If it's sometime this weekend, you're screwed. Again, check Google maps and find a way around it if needed.

You should be fine going but depending on when you return you could be screwed. I avoided it this past weekend by taking 46 to 90 all the way to the East.
