Does anyone know if the traffic cams constantly monitor/record traffic in BR? Son had an accident at Bluebonnet and I-10 intersection the other night, and there’s a camera mounted toward the intersection, but neither EBRSO or LSP could tell me what/if there was any footage. Anyone familiar with these cams?

They are real time only. They do not record.

City or state camera? I don't know the answer but probably a good place to start.

It might be a vehicle detector. They don't record anything.

Hopefully your son learns the lesson and invests in a dashcam.

If they're anything like traffic cameras in Houston most of them don't work.

Yeah that’s what LSP said

Just pisses me off that I have to go through my insurance because of the other driver’s shittiness

I’m told that the DOTD traffic cams (the ones you can view on the web), do not record. There are likely cams along the interstate and major highways that are operated by 3 letter govt agencies that do record, but you’d have a tuff time figuring out who has what. Harder still would be getting the recordings.

When you say the other night, how long ago? Did he hit a silver truck in the rain?

No. It was late Monday night . Other car was Chevy traverse. There was another car stopped at red light same direction as Chevy. Unfortunately they didn’t stop.

I got in a wreck in that same intersection a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping that I could help fill in the gaps.
