As a bonafide car geek/nut/enthusiast since birth...
Anyone badmouthing the performance of the new Camry or Avalon hasn’t driven one.
They rock. They have great steering, great brakes, more than enough power with the V6, and Toyota’s new 8-speed FWD automatic is as snappy and responsive as anyone could want in a boring midsize family sedan.
300 hp is plenty for a FWD car. Look at the entire history of the FWD automobile, and off the top of my head there are maybe 10 that have ever had more power. There’s a reason for that...
