Merry Christmas to you too.

Fell asleep watching Home Alone 2 (really wanted to see it ??) and now wide awake.

Great post and thank you! I've been divorced for a few years. I decorate my house, put up a tree, and hang my kids stockings. But it doesn't come close to the way it was when we were a family. My kids (grown) came by Christmas Eve and they came by to open presents yesterday. I still have that empty feeling when they left.

Don’t forget about those around you that don’t have anyone this time year due to death, divorce, or separation. Check on them. Maybe take them a plate. I’ve been there. Nothing worse than being alone at Christmas with nothing but your thoughts.

This is so good of you to think of and post. I say that not to make you feel puffed up and proud but to encourage you and me and everyone to remember that we are all in this together, even those we don’t know or those we can’t stand, and that the best thing we can do is help each other to know love and goodness.
