Found the pit bull apologist! Fortunately, the military and every court decision ever disagrees with your analysis.
Dumbass. I’m one of the biggest pit bull haters on here and that’s not a pit or any kind of bullshite not-a-pittie mix they try to distract you with
Bull terriers are not pits

My shitty neighbor left her dog during the 2016 floods. Ended up riding it out on my workshop table. Ate a whole can of food when I found her on day three.
I honestly hope you kept the dog.

A human piece of shite, its caretaker, just tied it to a fence in rising water. It’s scared and feels threatened by a stranger. It’s not an abnormal response. Let the rescue professionals make the decision in a safe environment.
You’re broken and not adoptable.
The owner is a piece of shite, we are in agreement. One of the downsides to that is that dog probably isn't adoptable at this point. That's not an unreasonable position. There is no need to lash out at me.

maybe they were just leaving food for their pet gator that lives in that area?

What understandable reason can you possibly come up with for someone to get out of their car in the middle of the interstate and tie their dog to a fence? That's a pretty damn obvious sign that the owner intended to leave it behind to die.
Like I said in the 1st post, many of the highways in Florida were a parking lot during the evacuation. Someone got to piss, walk the dog, whatever. Traffic started moving. They were already disheveled and nor thinking straight. Jump in the car and not realize until it's too late.

That’s comparable to tying a child and leaving them. You have no clue. You must be miserable. I would come and untie you, given the chance.

If we're lucky, the pup is chipped or has something that can trace him back to his owner.
Then the owner needs to be tied to a tree in the Everglades.

You’re a fricking cross dresser that pissed her pants the first time a dog barked. Call your Mommy and tell her people are being mean to you.

I don't think you realize how ironic your posts in this thread are.

There’s no irony in caring for helpless animals. The irony is that people like you have no empathy nor understanding as you fumble through life.

I never said we shouldn't care for helpless animals

Gets worse. She gets back and wants her dog. Fine, alls good she has her dog back. Month later I found it on the road dead. I assume run over.

Some people can barely take care of themselves much less a pet. I once found 3 starved and dehydrated dogs locked in a rental house a week after the tenants got evicted.
I couldn't take the dogs in so I let them out of the house and spent two hours every few days restocking their food until I found them a place to go.
The type of people that do that shite already live in hell. That's why they are the way they are.

Crazy to a point, but I know pets need to be treated as family. Karma is something to be dealt with on a personal basis. We are how we treat the beasts that depend on us…
