We REALLY need a hurricane to hit this year to stop all these thunderstorm threads.

Yeah no shite. A thread with a tornado warning that includes Baton Rouge is so unnecessary.

Use a combo of reflectivity, velocity, and storm relative velocity. Scan all tilts, start with 0.5, which is your base.
my list doesn't include Storm relative velocity. It has storm relative motion tilt 1

That was a tropical depression that moved over to us. Everytime there is a chance of rain a thread has to be started and God forbid if lightning is involved with some wind.

Here we go again. This thread is about a tornado threat, had there not already been two tornado warnings, I wouldn't have even started this thread. Nobody starts threads for simple thunderstorms, and if they do, they shouldn't. Then again, it's a free country.

Welcome to PYKL3. It's a go-to product for me. And yes, assuming you are already looking at Slidell or Fort Polk radar, select products (second button from left) and Storm Rel. Mot. Tilt 1. Makes more visual sense if you then hit play button on the bottom. Enjoy.

Or the barrage of tornadoes that slammed the cities surrounding BR last year, that all came from thunderstorms.

I don't understand posters like this. Does this thread really bother you that much? If you don't like it then don't open the thread. I don't open 90% of the threads on here because they don't interest me, but you don't see me bitching about them.

Change radar to Fort Polk. And thanks NOAA for getting rid of Woody Dumas' Baton Rouge radar

It varies depending on which radar location you select and the the position of the storm relative to the radar location, I think.
