I had to come up to my office to turn off alarms. It’s settled down for the time being.

I’m close to the airport and don’t see any fed ex planes which is odd.

Flightradar is amusing right now. Check out all the flight paths of FedEx flights bound for Memphis. There were 3 FDX planes circling Monroe. Many have been diverted to Houston or DFW

I’m in Port Gibson, MS at work until 8 am. How severe is it supposed to get here? I’m not from here and have only been working here for a few weeks so I don’t know where I’d go to take shelter if it comes to it.

The one good thing about living in Shelby county/Memphis is we truly are a bluff city and bad weather/tornadoes gets pushed north or south of us. I'm in Bartlett and every time something comes close it hits Frasier at the closest and pushes north to millington into Arlington or Lakeland. I love a good thunderstorm but fook some tornados

Everything down that way has struggled to go severe so far. You'll get a healthy line of storms in a couple hours. There's still a risk of severe weather with it, primarily wind and low-end tornado threat.

Just download a local weather app and set the alerts to let you know. Take the usual lowest, floor, center room, away from windows shelter if you catch a warning.

On a 60 foot boat at Pickwick (where TN, AL, and MS meet). Gonna shower and see where things stand after that, looks like everything is gonna mostly be alright but want to make sure the shite doesn’t strengthen again hitting some somewhat untapped air

I haven't experienced it personally, but a good friend of mine drove to his parents house thinking they would be in the clear. Turns out the tornado took a turn towards his parents house where they went. They all got under a stair case closet. Entire house was destroyed/flattened except where they were. 6 people died on their cove. frick some tornadoes.

Kind of the only reason I'm still up. Was watching live and it was getting rough at their studio and then they were knocked off the air.

Amazon tornado

Here's the tornado that hit the Amazon building, it actually looked fairly weak at the time of impact.

ETA: After watching a few times it did look to be pretty violent.
