Uber is probably a good bet.

Edit: or contact LSU res life and see if they need a desk assistant. It's literally 2-6 hour blocks of sitting around and doing nothing.

I think I've seen hiring signs at LeBlancs on Drusilla, Starbucks, and CC's.

Could also be a barback, waiter, bartender, etc.

Depends on what vehicle he has and who pays for it (and the insurance).

If he gets great MPG and his parents still pay for maintenance and insurance, this is a no-brainer.

I used to landscaping and yard work after work during summers. Hard work but usually cash money.
