Your first statement and I already disagree with you .
I am not nor will I every consume 443 grams of protein in a day and anyone that does or thinks they need to to grow is insane.

IF YOU ARE OUT OF SHAPE AND WANT TO BURN FAT...Find your resting rate caloric intake. Subtract 250-300 cals from that. Disperse those cals over your macros that allows for 20% carbs, 35% protein, 45% fat. Download a calorie counting app like myfitnesspal. Stay away from whole wheat carbs and consume good fats and lots of animal protein. Fruit a vegetables are your friends. That is pretty much it when it comes to diet.

My post from a few pages ago.

Those sources should come from lean meats (real), nuts, protein shakes (as a supplement) and good quality protein bars when in a pinch. You should look to take in some level of healthy fats (eggs, oils, nuts) and slow digesting carbs, but keep carbs to a bare minimum possible (whole grains, sweet potatoes). Fruits and vegetables are "free foods". Yes, they are carbs, but contain healthy vitamins. You should take is some fast digesting carbs (dextrose, not frutcose corn syrup) with a protein source to replentish your glocogen stores within 30 minutes of a high intensity muscular workout. That's really the only timing nourishment that's an absolute must. Get to know your body! Listen to it.

How is any of this different than my earlier post?

Start by using fitness pal, track your macros exactly

And this too.

I don't even know what macros are, I think I'll get more sophisticated as I move along.

whoops! true I agree. That was somewhat of a quick typing/thinking issue. Average person 1x's should be fine. As a competive individual 1-2x's would be best.

Thruth is there are no experts. Everybody is different. Take a bit form eveything you see and hear and be your own guinea pig. Gotta try it to know what'll work for you.

Now that's more like it. I shoot to take in about 200 grams but almost never get there.
