Correct. When she is home she has a Secret Service detail. Her husband doesn’t have that privilege.
If he wants private security when he’s home alone that’s up to them. He apparently didn’t have any physical private detail at the house but their security system supposedly picked up on the break in and LEO showed up while the attack was in progress, hence the fact they were able to detain the suspect.

I think regardless of when and who pays for security, I think we can all agree that having no security at your primary residence when you are not there as 2nd in line to the presidency is a bad security plan.
Let's just hope they scan the premises for bombs or anything else that could have been planted while away. Jesus what a hole.

Can't say I feel bad for him regardless of the motive this guy was a walking talking icon of everything people hate about politicians and their families.
Didn't he have a DUI that he basically completely got away with? Like he is above the law better than everyone else kind of shite?
I could be wrong but i kinda remember that. Getting beat down with a hammer is pretty tame compared to the reality of the streets in 2022.
