Are you just sitting at home counting the minutes till you feel better? Seems like a miserable way to get through it.

Find something to pass your time and take your mind off of it.

I did the same thing 12 years ago. Best decision I ever made. I went through a 24 month intensive inpatient program though. After 3 detox programs and 3 28 day treatment centers. Just get it over with. Life is so much better on the other side of all of that bullshite. Hang in there

If you don’t mind me asking. Pills or dope? Just want to know for myself.

No im not saying I didn't go through any withdrawals, I'm just saying it was manageable and I didn't feel like I was going to jump out of my skin. There really is no need to go cold turkey with opiates anymore. It's a fckn living nightmare that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

I gotcha. I just read it as you took them for a week and were good to go. That’s the best way to use suboxone imo. Taking it long term just ends up being a replacement and will still suffer bad withdrawals; although it is better than staying on the pills

I was scared shitless of OxyContin. That’s probably the only reason I never did it. Glad to see you clean.

FYI I can use all the help I can get if you have any pointers

I’m guessing you have the 8 mg suboxone strips. If it gets bad take 2 mg of sub(cut 1/4 of the strip off) and take that every few days to help. I’d even take half of a Valium to sleep at night if you haven’t slept in a night or two. Have the people around you control&monitor your intake of anything.

I'll ask again. Do you live in a place where medical marijuana is legal?

Even if not, you were buying pills anyway.

In all honesty, it would probably greatly help you through these next few days, and it's not like your other options, which are also habit forming,

It’s getting rough. Minutes seem like hours. I’m really trying not to give in and take Suboxone. I want this so bad.. I know it’s rough now but when it’s said and done. I’m taking the wife ( No Pics ) on a vacation. Don’t know where but we will go somewhere

It is obvious that this is a priority...and nothing but good can come from that kind of determination. It sounds like you will have enough extra money going forward to have a damn nice trip each year or so for you and your family. Fortunately, I know nothing of what you are going through, but is sounds reasonable to me to assume that you are at the worst point by now and you should only get better as the time passes. Also, I know this is hell on your wife and aunt as well, so be sure they don't completely forgo their own rest and eating while they are helping you.

No I live in Louisiana. And I don’t want to smoke weed while I’m going thru withdrawals because I don’t want it to make it worse for some reason.

What about CBD oil? It won’t get you high, but may help alleviate some of the body pain you’re dealing with? Good luck!

Man I'm proud of you --- and while I can't imagine what it's like, I'm sure that your wife and kids will be so grateful for you to have kicked the habit and so so proud of you.

Hang in there and seek help if you need it. We're all rooting for you.
