Exxon wins state approval for tax break on potential Baton Rouge expansion worth more than $500 million
quote:
ExxonMobil on Wednesday won approval for a multimillion-dollar property tax break on a potential Baton Rouge plant expansion the company said is worth between $500 million and $1 billion.

Together Baton Rouge, the advocacy group which has vocally opposed many ITEP applications from Exxon, said it met with representatives of the company earlier this week. The group asked Exxon to pull five other ITEP applications for projects that have already been completed, and indicated it would be easier for the company to gain approval for the polyolefins expansion if it did so.
Exxon responded that those applications were filed in 2016 but had to be updated to adhere to new rules, and helped create 18 new jobs. Spokeswoman Stephanie Cargile said even though they have already been completed, they are “crucial” for Exxon Baton Rouge to stay competitive for future growth.

whew sanity has taken back over. JBE's decision to make ITEP a local vote is the worst decision he has made as governor.

These people would rather see the citizens of BR on the government tit than see people go to work.
Classic progressivism - force people to rely on the state for everything

The TBR white guilter retards were quiet as church mice when the local NAACP leader wanted to separate the city-parish government. They know they can't speak up against black people even if they want to do the very thing these self-hating, soy latte sipping homos are railing against.

And everyone thinks they are some kind of campaign supporting the airport.

They're just another bunch of extreme left-wing subversive fake do-gooders pushing their agenda on the rest of us. They want their hooks in everything in society: business, schools, politics, churches, HOAs etc. Just another bunch of"only government can save us" power-grabbing extreme libtards, and if you disagree you are a racist, homophobic bigot. And conservative, Repubs, good ole boys are stupid fools.
They firmly believe they have a mandate from God to enlighten us all with their wisdom & shower us with peace, tolerance and love. Damn lie. They are wolves in sheep's clothing.
They do not care about improving anybody's life. They care about power. Be aware.

TBR is nothing but white-guilt liberal retards. None of them provide anything to this city.

Some guy asked if he could put one of those signs in my yard. I got a good laugh out of it.

We need to prevent a fortune 5 company from expanding operations in BR in order to help our citizens!

Doesn’t Together Baton Rouge Flunkies understand that the Mayor and a lot of state and local key minority politicians are on Exxon’s payroll?
They are not going to cut off the hand that feeds them to show sympathy for the village idiots of Baton Rouge.

These are the same people that think farmer's markets are the cure all for unemployment.

The way I see it, he is making fun of the people that are. Imho
Rightfully so, their silence when the NAACP brought up separating the city and parish Gov. was laughable

Did he have skinny jeans and claimed to be a professional hair dresser or work at Starbucks?

Does anyone have the update on St. George? When is the petition due? How many signatures over the requirement are they trying to have as a cushion? Has Jeff Landry’s office responded to questions from the registrar of voters in EBR?
