Quote from Landrieu's speech yesterday as he stood draped in American flags:

Mitch likely swindled the taxpayers of New Orleans to pay for his initiation into national politics. There is not a shred of evidence that private money covered this, as he said there would be. The cost will likely be more than one million dollars. He's wants to make a name for himself, but he's too stupid to make it to the national level. He'll get eaten alive.
