Why not? He was a decorated fighter ace in World War II and one of the greatest children authors of the 20th Century. Are we going to subtract from his legacy because he was an anti-semite? How many great men and women in history that we celebrate hated Jews? I'm going to assume dozens. A majority of American scholars view George Washington as the greatest American who ever lived and he was a slave owner.

He did give an explanation for why he didnt like Jews and he has a point. They, not unlike other groups, are exclusionary and biased towards their kind. This builds animosity when they are highly successful. The dumb part is that he plays right into their hands by hating them.
Other people made a great point- you dont have to love everything about the guy to enjoy his books and the good things he did do in life.
