I was just going to post this. LOVED that show as a kid, Darren McGavin was the shite. If you recall, it was based on a TV movie about a vampire on the loose in Vegas that broke all kinds of viewing records. All the kids in school were talking about it the next day. After that came "The Night Strangler" and then the TV series came out.

Also on Friday nights- The Odd Couple, The Six Million Dollar Man and Love, American Style. Before that (or right around then) was The Brady Bunch and The Partidge Family.

The Night Stalker movie

I watched a Kolchak episode last week on ME TV. It's been years since I saw one. Loved that show.

What night was Love Boat and Fantasy island on.

That was Sat night, before SNL with Eddie Murphy as Gumby, white man undercover (I'm...I'm buying this newspaper)and the "Kill my Landlord" convict.

When Eddie left, we started watching "Tales from the Darkside" instead of SNL...then listened to Elvis sing "Dixie" during the station sign off for 33.

ETA: WWF? It was Mid-South Wrestling. "Iron" Mike Sharp, Mr. Wrestling II, JYD/Stagger Lee, Ted Dibiase, Kamala, Andre, The Iron Shiek...Jake the MF'n Snake Roberts.

Sunday night - Tv tray with hungry man chicken tv dinner. You has to mix the corn, mashed potatoes and grease from the chicken all up. Watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

Sometimes you would strike gold and the CBS logo would spin around the screen alerting you to a special presentation--usually some type of Peanuts show.

And the excitement became panic because it seemed like forever before you'd find out what was going to play!!

The Holiday specials used to be a big fricking deal. Christmas would not have been Christmas without Rudolph.

I think I asked Cdawg this the other day. But Dana Plato? Circa 95-98 WYHI?

I think she was pretty much down with anyone that had an 8-ball during those last few years.

You're digging real deep! That was the good ol' days. How ol' Marlin Perkins never got mauled or trampled I'll never know.
I really miss all of those tv shows.

Now I'm fixated on MeTv. Andy Griffith back to back starting at 7:00.

Kojak doesn't come on until 1:00 in the morning.
