Yep. Regardless of how you cut it, summer days (sunrise to sunset) are longer and winter days are shorter.

No but what I do realize is you failed 5th grade reading comprehension and basic logic.
And your mom forgot all about your elementary science classes while home schooling you. Not that it will do any good, but let me make it as simple as possible for you:

The premise of my post is that by far most of the people bitching about the time change have no clue it's going to get darker much earlier this time of year regardless of what we do with the clock. So when the fuses inside your tiny mush filled skull blew trying to comprehend that fact, you took it to mean that I was arguing something else altogether.

You can't comprehend the simple fact that daylight gets much shorter in the winter and longer in the summer solely due to the orientation of the Earth's axis as we orbit the Sun. We don't control the planet's orientation with our clocks.

I won't even mention the corollary fact that because we live in the Northern Hemisphere, we are closest to the Sun in the winter, and we are farthest away from the Sun in the summer. I'm pretty sure all your little hamster wheel circuits would blow if I mentioned that to you.

That being the case, I'm done wasting my time trying to explain to you and all your fellow morons out there the reality behind the time changes we all suffer through.
