Look, I stopped breathing and my heart stopped beating. I was out for a matter of minutes from what I understand. I never made it to the morgue and they never stopped working on me and gave me up as being gone for good. That's all I can tell you. I don't remember anything about that night other than what my wife and the nurses and doctors told me later. And they all told me the same thing, that I was a goner. One doctor even said the next morning after it happened, and I quote "The last time I saw you, you were dead".
Believe what you want. I don't know what else to tell you.

Thanks for clearing all that up. I know my wife will be relieved to hear she just imagined what she watched happened that night and can now stop having all those nightmares about it.

I'm gonna say something here bc it's a good example of what you do, but I don't think you even realize it. ... You take too seriously & too personally what someone says whom, I assume, you don't even know, nor probably ever will. There is no 'off limits' topic that is treated with kid gloves on here, I'm pretty positive. So, if you don't want people who you don't know making jokes about something that is sensitive to you in your 'real life,' don't spill it here. But anyway, what or why do you care??? I'll take the word of actual medical doctors over some internet message board dork.
And just so we're clear, according to what multiple doctors have told me, I did die. I was never "official declared dead". They don't do that until they give up on reviving you. But I assure you once you stop breathing and your heart also stops, you're dead. They have a short window where you can be revived, and thankfully I was. But the fact still stands that until they revive you, you're dead.

No, they're put on life support measures during the surgery. That's totally different from what happened to me that night.
