The only reason to have a Friday wedding is to prevent the groom from having a hookers 'n blow party on Friday night.

that. Friday weddings suck.

Got married on a Friday this past December - the church we were getting married at (and also attend) didn't allow weddings past 2PM on a Saturday. We wanted an evening wedding and didn't want to change venues for the ceremony - so Friday night it was.
If that's trashy, oh well. It's one day and your attendance gets you free food and booze.

That makes sense. This isn't a church and it isn't in either parties hometown. Also add in that both of these couples graduated from college in the last year.

I don't really mind Friday weddings.

Fall weddings are the worst to me just because of football. I didn't even have to bring the idea up to my wife when we got married - she said no way would she miss any college football action or ask others to miss it either.
