I lived there a decade or so ago and found it to be an interesting experience.
The city was pretty cool and I enjoyed having the sports teams, red rocks amphitheater, etc. for entertainment. also liked the LoDo area a lot for entertainment.
The climate and access to the outdoors was fabulous...I still love to travel to Colorado every couple of years just to take in the outdoors.
I didn't care much for the people, as there was some pretty strong resentment for anyone who was not a native of Colorado.
The cost of living was absolutely outrageous by my standards.
Traffic was the worst I have ever had to deal with and was absolutely maddening (though that should not be as much of an issue if you are not actually living and working in Denver itself.
I stayed there for several years and honestly, started to miss the south pretty badly before I transferred away.

The city itself (minus the weed and more progressive makeup) reminds me a lot of Charlotte. Clean, but bland. A little cookie cutter. You can easily be happy and do a lot worse.

I lived there moved about 5 years ago. Things changed a bunch around 2010 big influx of people from California. Government became more liberal especially the City. Legalizing weed brought more and homeless/vagrant population exploded. Also its a sanctuary city. Property taxes were reasonable, but I think they have increased a good bit in recent years. A fun place to visit and get into nature but I couldnt do it now.

If I had a chance to relocate again, the Denver area would be top of the list. Visited there this past summer and was very impressed. A good contingent of LSU fans up there as well!

I had the chance to go a few years ago but the housing is getting crazy. I had to turn down the offer and it hurt. Lots of
People moving there from all over and the Cali influx is starting to show. Traffic can be a bear at times as well
But it is beautiful and you can find a lot to do no matter what your interest are. Food is American if you ask me. Taxes didn’t seem to be too bad.

Denver is much better than any place in Texas. Would be a great place to move to.
