I don't understand the correlation between being bullied and needing money via Go Fund Me. What are they funding? Karate lessons? A transfer to a more socially conscious private school?

everyone wants to outlaw bullying instead of addressing the real problem that the lack of a nuclear family, no strong parental figure, abusive parents, any drug and alcohol abuse by parents is responsible for 90% of bullying.

FIFY

Trying to outlaw bullying is like trying to outlaw bleeding to stop gang violence. It does nothing to address the issue and only serves to punish the victims and not address thy real issues.

I don’t like that Keaton got bullied. But what I don’t like more is his mom has now branded him for life as “the kid who got bullied and cried and went viral”.

This kid isn’t old enough to know/make his path in life, but now any google search or background check or any interaction in life the video will show up when you type in his name.

Mom should’ve brought the video in to the principals office and played it just for him and demanded the teachers watch and protect him better, and if not she should go to those kids parents house and raise hell at them for raising little POS. And if all that fails, tell Keaton to kick their arse and transfer.

All these viral videos of kids are incredible short sighted and selfish moves by the parents. Just my unpopular opinion

It’s not your fault. Sounds like your trashiness is genetic.

It’s just grossing me out. Yes, it sucks his bullied. Yes, it’s cool that celebrities are reaching out and offering support (even though I think they are also just doing it for publicists and to pat themselves on the back).

But I still think the mom is being really selfish and now looks like she’s just using it as a way to make money. And I don’t see how this stops the bullying in any way. Keaton doesn’t understand now what it means to be “viral” on video crying for the world to see.

I didn't pay attention to this until this thread, but everyone in this story appears to just be a complete a-hole except Keaton. His mom for posting that online, the celebrities trying to virtue signal at this kid's expense, the people attacking the family for posts in the mom's past. Keaton's just an awkward kid who's trying to find a way through middle school without a dad.

I agree. It really felt like the kid got in the car, told his mom what happened, and she thought to herself how well it would play on social media and how many likes she would get, so she made him to again while she filmed. He seems like a sweet kid.

Now, the kid asking "is this real life" after the dentist visit was hilarious. That would be an exception.

Apparently the UFC tried to get him a trip
To one of the gyms and the Mom just asked to donate to her go fund instead because they aren’t rich

ya its a weird story

theyre claiming to "not to have talked to anyone" or "created any gofundmes"

not to defend her, because she could def be a complete scumbag

but someone could have pretended to be his mom, talked with the UFC, and then wanted gofundme donation $$ instead of the trip. id buy that too

who knows
