Yea.. Jimmy missed the perfect opportunity when she said
"I'm not gonna take this lying down"

El-OH-El at all the replies on this thread. Making me want to hate-watch her movie to see wtf all this is about

I really don't see the big deal. Every joke comes from some observation, or humorous take on a situation that millions of people probably had, its just that not all of them can be on tv with that joke.

Denis Leary made a career out of this.

I really don't get all the people leaping to defend her, it's pretty obvious that she stole jokes
Here's what don't get. She could have sincerely said "yea, I was spoofing around with patrice's stuff and many other great comedians". I don't think anyone would have a problem with that. Instead she took a hard line that every single joke is her original thought. I'm shocked at those going to bat for her.

You ever thought the kid may have been in cahoots with her? He probably got a shite ton of twitter followers because of it.
Someone link Jimmy's advice show. There is no way to defend her after listening to that. Especially concerning this twitter incident.

Not his real name. I just learned that while studying for Jeopardy!, he changed it to sound more like a hot woman for a better chance at stage time. I thought that was interesting....

All of the pathetic beta comics like Marc Maron are tripping over themselves to defend her.

You know who Regina Edwards is?

I do not. Is this a person I should know about for a possible Jeopardy! clue?

After Jimmy's advice show I was more in her side even with the twitter incident. I really think she is friends with too many comedians to just rip off jokes and think they won't call her on it. And as I understand every comedian that accused her backed off and John Mullaney never accused her and backed her up. A lot of jokes are just parallel thinking.
Has the Maron thing come up yet, I'm not reading this whole thread just wondering.

I'll just say what I told my wife. Before any of this was news. When I was watching her special I was thinking "I've seen this act before", and I was even fine with that until she kept going on on jimmy's show about how she had never heard any of these jokes and they were all her own.
