Huh. We don’t have this problem in California, where servers earn $15/hour before tips.

ETA: And also receive health benefits in SF.

I just picked up Mexican for dinner: two appetizers, two entrees, and dessert: $82.46 + $8 tip (I usually do 10% for to-go)

It cost me about $40 to get Mexican for dinner, with alcohol and 20% tip.

$82 before tip for dinner for two at a Mexican place? That's insane
