This.

She will get mad. Other employees know.

It will become impossible for the company to keep them both. They will probably and probably should today fire them both.

So, don't have an affair, because really bad shite can happen as a result.

Quite the revelation here, OP.

infidelity being quite common.

If he's a Protestant, all your brother has to do to be forgiven for these sins is to go to Church on Sunday, quietly and in his own mind acknowledge his sins and then receive the Pastor's absolution/forgiveness of sins that Pastors do at every Church service.

NOBODY in his Church needs to know a thing, not even the Pastor. Once your brother is forgiven in his Protestant faith, he's Saved, so long as he goes forth and sins no more. If by chance he DOES sin some more, just get forgiven for it next Sunday.

SPIRITUAL PROBLEM SOLVED.

Now, if he was a Catholic, he could never have gotten away with his dirty deeds, over and over again, because as soon as he sat during Communion, his wife would ask, "How come you didn't go to Communion?" And then he would have had to knowingly decline to skip Confession after each dirty deed. Well, you get the picture.

Best thing for your Bro would have been that he's Gay. But since he's not, good thing he's Protestant! Much more easy to be forgiven!

EDIT: (Dude's job is safe. He told the boss everything).

That is until they get sued for sexual harassment. Don't laugh, it happened to a friend of mine. He was a Sr. Manager dating a woman at work. When they broke up she hired a lawyer and got a nice settlement. He got fired.

My father had a saying: don't get your pussy and your paycheck from the same place. Good advice.
