Fair enough. It's all relative I suppose.

Truth about the t shirts. If it has a tiny hole in the armpit I really don’t care. If it’s a favorite I’m still wearing it. Same with stains. Sometimes I wear a little of my food. My wife knows this and seems to have every stain removing trick in the book down pat. She has no idea how much I appreciate that one little thing that she does.

Now if she could just sew up those tiny holes.

Thanks friend and Merry Christmas to you and your.

Merry Christmas to you too.

When I was a freshman in college, I stained a ton of the clothes I liked trying to do my own laundry en-masse for the first time with the side-loading washers at the dorm.

Keep in mind, guys almost never buy shirts except at events. Most shirts guys own came from an event they attended, concerts, clubs they belonged to, schools they attended, jobs they held, sports teams they played for or watch religiously, etc. Every shirt has memories attached from where it came from and the times he's had while wearing it. They wear that shirt to remind themselves of where they came from, or because they liked who they were when they got that shirt.

I would become really dejected every time I'd stain some clothing I liked because I never could manage to get those stains out. I knew my ex-wife was a keeper when I gave her a dozen stained articles of clothing and she got out every stain. She patched jeans that had holes in them, repaired zippers on my favorite jackets, and got out stains galore. It meant a ton to me, more than little notes, a clean kitchen, candles that made the house smell like sugar cookies, or coming home to a fully decorated home for Christmas.

Guys hate being "nagged" for wearing stained, dirty, or holy clothes in public, but we continue to wear those clothing items because they tend to hold serious sentimental value. Restoring those items to public wearability is a great way to show your man you care. When you extend the life of that shirt, you extend the life of that memory.
